Quality survey work begins before mobilization. Our process includes reviewing available construction documents and CAD data, understanding the requested scope, verifying control and benchmarks, and identifying inconsistencies before relying on information in the field.
REVIEW
Review construction documents, CAD files, project coordinates, scope, and available survey information.
VERIFY
Verify control, benchmarks, existing conditions, and critical project information before layout begins.
CHECK
Use appropriate independent field checks, instrument checks, and field-to-office review throughout the work.
DOCUMENT
Maintain useful field records and provide clear documentation of completed work, discrepancies, and verification.

Existing control, benchmarks, design information, and field conditions should never be accepted blindly. Our team checks the information provided, references control to other available points and existing conditions where appropriate, and communicates discrepancies when something does not agree.
Control Networks — Establish and verify horizontal and vertical control suitable for ongoing construction operations.
Independent Checks — Use redundant observations and appropriate check measurements to confirm critical layout and survey information.
Existing Conditions — Compare available control and design information against observable field conditions before proceeding where appropriate.


QUALITY COMMUNICATION

When field conditions, control, dimensions, CAD information, or construction documents do not agree, our responsibility is not simply to set a point and move on. We identify the discrepancy, verify what we are seeing, document the condition, and communicate it to the appropriate project team before it becomes a larger field problem.
Identify Early — Recognize inconsistencies before they affect downstream construction whenever possible.
Communicate Clearly — Provide the project team with useful information about what was found and where the conflict exists.
Document the Condition — Use survey data, field notes, photographs, exhibits, reports, or other appropriate documentation to support project decisions.

Quality continues after the field work is complete. Survey observations and field information are reviewed and processed into practical project deliverables that help contractors document completed work, verify conditions, coordinate construction, and maintain useful project records.
